MoonPumpkin's PaddedRoom is a secondary branding choice I created at the beginning of 2024. A lot of my Divination tools are 1990's themed but after a life changing event I started making more 1890's themed art and tools. 

In December 2023 I was injured at a job, my right arm couldn't be used for a couple of months. I remember thinking my art life was over. I already struggle with mental illness; and the legal proceedings, cabin fever and insomnia sent me over the edge. I had some really bad days, but in the midst of it all I created a lot of art.  

 I had trouble getting comfortable in bed and couldn't sleep, so I ended up buying different types of pillows to bolster me as needed and without the use of my dominant arm I felt very restricted. Dramatically, it felt like I was in a straight jacket in a padded room, losing my mind. I decided to reclaim a lot of old-fashioned tropes around mental illness and birthed MoonPumpkin’s PaddedRoom. A place where we can go mad together, in peace.
